Introducing our second group of speakers

I’m delighted to introduce you to the second (and last) group of speakers who will be joining us for WordCamp Whitley Bay. Here they are:

Kirsty Burgoine

Kirsty is a Senior WordPress Engineer / Technical Lead / Engineering Manager at Human Made, a global distributed WordPress agency. Kirsty has worked with WordPress for more years than she’d care to remember now and can most often be found on Instagram sharing failed attempts at gardening or pictures of cats!

Tayo Onabule

Tayo Onabule is the managing director and co-founder of Drewl, a WordPress design and development agency with a focus on user experience. Tayo’s background includes marketing, design, development, motion graphics, project management, and video production.  Drawing from this diverse range of influences, he now drives Drewl’s innovative and ambitious approach, positioning the agency as a user experience led, highly technical, and creative augmentation to internal teams across B2B and ecommerce. 

Sam Beckham

Sam is an Engineering Manager at GitLab.

He’s a huge fan of the three E’s: Engineering, Efficiency, and Eating pizza.

Tammie Lister

Tammie Lister currently works at Inpsyde as a developer focusing on WordPress. She has a hybrid background across product, design, psychology and development. Currently, she contributes to WordPress as part of her role. She is passionate about Open Source, community and drinking tea.

Tess Coughlan-Allen

Tess is Marketing Lead at Atomic Smash, a website performance agency in Bristol that specialises in WordPress and WooCommerce. Passionate about communicating ideas in creative ways, Tess loves finding new ways to build narratives around technology and collaborating with clients. Tess cares about business ethics, the environment, team wellbeing, and is part of an internal Sustainability Working Group at Atomic Smash. In her spare time you’ll find her hiking mountains with her dog, jumping in the sea, lifting heavy things in the gym and writing songs or stories.

Jonny Waters

Jonny Waters is the Head of Design & UX at Big Bite. He has over a decade of commercial design experience and has worked with big brands such as Gumtree, Octopus Group, and News Corp.

With expertise in complex UX processes and techniques, Jonny leads on all of Big Bite’s creative direction and design standards, both internally and externally. His industry best practices and experience provide him with insights and innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness of the editorial experience within WordPress.
